Job Overview:


We are seeking a proactive, eager-to-learn Junior QA Engineer or Intern to join our team in Bogotá. This entry-level role is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in Quality Assurance. You will work closely with senior engineers and product teams, learning fundamental testing techniques and actively contributing to the quality and reliability of our innovative products.

The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), a passion for detail, and a commitment to ensuring a flawless user experience. At Forge, you'll be mentored to become a key player in ensuring our software meets the highest standards of quality.
 

Qualifications

  • 0 to 1 year of experience in a QA or related technical role (academic projects, personal projects, or previous internships count).
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • B2 english level is a plus (required for collaboration with global teams).
  • Knowledge of or exposure to different testing techniques, such as UI testing, automated testing, test-driven development strategies, and others.
  • Exposure to or eagerness to learn common testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman, BrowserStack, LambdaTest).
  • Understanding of basic testing concepts and at least one common programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java) 
  • Experience with web security technology
  • Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Test current products and identifying deficiencies
  • Suggest solutions to identified product problems 
  • Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, create, and manage the overall quality planning strategy.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure consistent project execution.
  • Identify quality assurance process bottlenecks and suggest actions for improvement. 
  • Oversee continuous improvement projects 
  • Collect quality data 
  • Identify key KPIs for product quality.
  • Prepare and present reports and metrics to senior management.
*This role will be required to come into our Bogota office Mon-Th, with the option to WFH on Fridays*
