Job Overview:
The Junior Front-End Engineer sits at the exact intersection of UI/UX implementation, creative engineering, and modern web development. In this role, you will bring high-end client experiences to life—translating Figma design systems into clean, responsive, and performance-optimized execution across Webflow, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js.
Working under the direct guidance of Senior Creative Engineering staff, you will construct modular UI components, maintain web design systems, and ensure pixel-perfect fidelity across all digital touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- Front-End Development & CMS Architecture: Assist in building, staging, and maintaining responsive websites using Webflow, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js, adhering strictly to component-based architecture and modern clean-code standards.
- Figma-to-Code Implementation: Faithfully translate Figma UI/UX designs, wireframes, component variants, and interactive prototypes into high-fidelity web pages, ensuring exact spacing, typography hierarchy, and asset specs.
- Custom Styling & Componentization: Customize Webflow CMS structures and dynamic templates using custom HTML/CSS/JS, reusable code blocks, and structured layout logic.
- Animations & Interactive Touches: Partner with senior engineers and designers to implement smooth UI transitions, micro-interactions, and scroll animations using CSS and animation libraries.
- Optimization & QA Precision: Perform asset compression, site speed optimization, cross-browser debugging, and mobile responsiveness checks to guarantee flawless execution across all viewports.
- Bug Fixing & Regressions: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine front-end bugs, broken links, styling regressions, and layout shifts across active staging environments.
- Integrations & Analytics Support: Assist in configuring, embedding, and testing third-party tools, APIs, webhooks, and marketing analytics tags.
- Documentation & Code Reviews: Maintain clean code documentation, follow team web standards, and actively participate in code reviews to accelerate your technical growth.
Technical Skill Set & Tooling
- Experience: 1–2 years of hands-on, professional front-end development experience in an agency, tech studio, or fast-paced collaborative environment.
- Core Web Stack: Strong foundational command of HTML5, modern CSS3 (Flexbox, CSS Grid, custom properties), and JavaScript (ES6+), with a mobile-first mindset.
- Frameworks & CMS: Practical experience building in Webflow alongside component-based frameworks (Vue.js and Nuxt.js preferred; React is a plus).
- Figma Mastery for Devs: Solid proficiency inspecting Figma files, working with component variants, auto-layout structures, and extracting web-optimized SVGs/assets.
- APIs & Data Basics: Foundational understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and basic Server-Side Rendering (SSR) concepts to support dynamic integrations.
- Version Control: Functional experience using Git and GitHub/GitLab for branching, pull requests, and collaborative workflows.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with web animation libraries such as GSAP (GreenSock) or Framer Motion.
- Practical understanding of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards.
- Basic familiarity with Python.
